After silver for sport climber Hannah Meul in bouldering, the German men just missed out on another German medal at the European Championships.
In the lead competition, Alexander Megos (29) and birthday boy and combination world champion Yannick Flohe (23) took fifth (30+) and sixth (29+) places.
In the final of the eight best participants, multiple world champion Adam Ondra from the Czech Republic (37+) won gold due to the less time required ahead of vice world champion Luka Potocar from Slovenia (37+).
Third place went to Olympic champion Alberto Gines Lopes from Spain (35+).
