Flight after life sentence stranded in Enschede
ENSHEAD – – Ralf Hörstemeier carefully planned his flight to Enschede, but in the end also handled it very clumsily. The 57-year-old German, sentenced to life in prison for the rape and murder of a 16-year-old student, realized – just before the decision of his appeal – that he might never get out of prison again. After the judge finally convicted him, he broke his ankle ligament and jumped into the car with his fiancé.
