German Chancellor Scholz is pushing for a trade agreement between the EU and South America

Germany and Argentina are pushing for the speedy conclusion of negotiations on one of the largest trade agreements in the world. The negotiations between the European Union and the South American federation of states Mercosur, which have been dragging on for more than twenty years, have now gone on long enough, said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz after a meeting with Argentine President Alberto Ángel Fernández in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
