German cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki not prosecuted: false statements made from carelessness

The German Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki will not be sued for perjury about accusations of abuse by Catholic priests, the judiciary reports in Cologne. Woelki, who is Archbishop of Cologne, was investigating for more than two years because he would have made false statements in a sworn statement about the moment he became aware of the scandals in his Archdiocese.
