The German Badminton Association (DBV) secured three medals at the European Championships in Madrid.

In men’s doubles, Marvin Seidel/Mark Lamsfuss made it into the semi-finals, as did Isabel Lohau/Linda Efler in women’s doubles. Lohau and Lamsfuss also reached the semi-finals in mixed and thus at least won bronze.

Seidel/Lamsfuss prevailed against the French Fabien Delrue/William Villeger with 21:17, 21:18. Lohau/Efler had to play in the third set at 21:9, 13:21, 21:13 against Christine Busch/Amalie Schulz from Denmark.

In mixed, Lohau/Lamsfuss got the upper hand against the Scottish duo Adam Hall/Julie MacPherson with 25:23, 21:17.
