Geox drives expansion in the Gulf States

The Italian shoe retailer Geox SpA wants to further expand its presence in the Middle East. On Friday, the company announced the extension of its collaboration with local sales partner Beside Group, which has been in place since 2020, by a further ten years.

As part of the partnership, 13 Geox stores have already opened in “the most important shopping centers in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar” over the past three years, the shoe retailer said in a statement. The number of branches in the region is now to be increased to a total of 25 by 2027.

The Dubai-based retail group Beside Group, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian investment company Taj Holding, has established itself as a local sales partner for numerous well-known fashion companies in the Gulf region. In addition to Geox, the company also works with Puma, Diesel, Fred Perry and Scotch & Soda, among others.
