General and permanent smoking and fire ban in Flemish forests and nature reserves

Starting tomorrow, a general and permanent smoking and fire ban will apply in the Flemish forests and nature reserves. This is reported by Flemish Minister for the Environment Zuhal Demir (N-VA). It is already forbidden to smoke or light a fire from risk code yellow there, but that ban is now being generalized. “Flanders already has so little nature, then we have to do everything we can to protect it as well as possible,” says Demir.
