Russian President Putin also justified the invasion of Ukraine by saying that the neighboring country had to be demilitarized and denazified, otherwise it could pose a threat to Russia. Kiss bassist Gene Simmons took to Twitter to comment on this narrative and harshly criticized the President (“Metal Hammer” reported first).
Simmons wrote on Twitter: “The blatant lie of Mr. Putin accusing Ukrainian President Zelenskyy of being a Nazi.” This is all the more astonishing when you consider “that President Zelenskyj is actually Jewish and lost his entire family to Nazi Germany during World War II.” Simmons himself is also of Jewish descent.
The outright lie from Mr Putin accusing @Ukrain PM Zelensky of being a Nazi is stunning, considering that PM Zelensky is actually Jewish and lost his entire family to Nazi Germany during WWII.
