Gebr. Heinemann: CCO Dirk Schneider leaves

The Hamburg trading company Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG will have to do without Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Dirk Schneider in the future. Schneider decided to leave the company “after three years and face new challenges” at the end of June, the travel retail specialist explained on Wednesday.

According to the company, in his previous role as CCO, Schneider had been responsible for purchasing, marketing, supply chain and commercial effectiveness since autumn 2020. Co-CEO Raoul Spanger is now responsible for these areas of responsibility on an interim basis until the position is filled.

The outgoing manager drew a positive balance of his time in the company: “I am very happy about the big steps that we have taken together, from overcoming a serious crisis to strategic clarity for new growth,” said Schneider in a statement. “We were able to break new ground for Heinemann in many areas, especially with regard to a customer-centric and data-driven mindset.”
