Gebr. Heinemann appoints new CCO

Inken Callsen takes on the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG.

The Hamburg trading company announced on Tuesday that she will take up her new position on September 1 and will be responsible for the areas of purchasing, global supply chain and commercial effectiveness. Callsen has been with Gebr. Heinemann for more than 28 years.

Previously, she was Director Purchasing for Perfume & Cosmetics, Fashion & Accessories and Fulfillment. She also held the position of Vice President Global Supply Chain. Callsen is taking over her new role from Dirk Schneider, who left the company at the end of June.

“Inken is recognized and respected both within our group and throughout the travel retail industry,” says co-CEO and owner Max Heinemann. “We are convinced that with her many years of extensive experience and her deep understanding of our corporate culture and values, she is the right person for the position of Chief Commercial Officer.”

In addition, Chief Sales Officer Florian Seidel assumes responsibility for the marketing area “to strengthen the alliance with the shop floor organization and the Sales Experience & Excellence department,” says Hamburg. Jens Peuckert was previously entrusted with the area.

“The main driver of everything we do is the implementation of our mission statement. As the most people-centric company in global travel retail, we have set ourselves the goal of turning travel time into valuable time,” says Co-CEO Raoul Spanger.
