Gaverbeek flows above ground again into De Gavers

The new bed not only increases the natural value around the watercourse, it can also accommodate more water. This should ensure better water quality. The works cost more than half a million euros, a collaboration between the Flemish Environment Agency and the Province. De Gavers will also expand by 20 hectares, bringing the total to 212 hectares. There will be a flood area, a camping meadow and boardwalks, among other things.
