Gary Busey allegedly involved in hit-and-run car crash

Actor Gary Busey is said to be involved in a traffic accident. According to the US celebrity portal “TMZ”, Busey rammed a woman’s car and then drove away. The woman followed the actor, who once played rock ‘n’ roll icon Buddy Holly, to confront him. However, he just waved it off.

The accident is believed to have happened in the city of Malibu, California. While the previously unknown woman was driving down the street, Busey pulled out of the parking lot of a shopping mall and rammed the driver’s rear bumper. But instead of stopping and waiting for the police with the person involved, as is customary in the United States, Busey apparently drove away.

The driver then followed Busey to ask him about the accident at the next stop. However, he only replied with “I am a private person” and gave out the name of his insurance company. He then left the angry woman, who recorded the events on video, on the side of the road. The driver made a single one for hit and run, the local police took up the investigation.

Neither Gary Busey nor his management have commented on the incident. It’s not the first time Busey’s erratic behavior has caught the eye. A fatal motorcycle accident in 1988 reportedly left permanent brain damage that is said to have led to a personality change in the former Oscar-nominated actor.
