The Scottish darts star Gary Anderson has not expressed any thoughts about a possible resignation after his World Cup loss against compatriot Peter Wright.
Instead, the 51-year-old announced that he wanted to improve in 2022. “Thanks for all your support. I hope this year is better than last,” wrote Anderson on Twitter.
Previously, “The Flying Scotsman”, as Anderson is known, had lost the semi-finals in London to compatriot Wright 4-6.
Both professionals had played a high-class game, Wright even set a world record with 24 shots of 180 points. “I have to admit, I really enjoyed the game,” wrote Anderson.
The veteran had reached the World Cup final last year and now the semi-finals. Things didn’t go so well for Anderson during the year. The two-time world champion has been speculating for years about when he will leave.
