Were there Israel haters here again?
At around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday evening, a large garbage can burst into flames not far from the synagogue on Fraenkelufer. The Firefighters put out the fire.
A local search by police for possible perpetrators was unsuccessful.
Just the day before, a car had burned on the opposite bank of the Plan and graffiti hostile to Israel and Jews was discovered on a residential building.
