Ganni appoints first brand boss

Danish fashion brand Ganni has appointed Priya Matadeen as its first chief brand officer, effective January 4.

Matadeen, who joins from Dazed Media where she was Managing Director, will be responsible for leading all brand and communications related departments. Based in Ganni’s London office, Matedeen will work closely with Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup to drive Ganni’s global brand strategy.

Prior to Dazed Media, Matadeen held various positions at agencies and media titles such as Vogue, Vice/Virtue and Wieden and Kennedy, working closely with clients such as Gucci, Versace, Chanel and Nike.

Andrea Baldo, Managing Director of Ganni, said: “Priya is a very exciting addition to the Ganni leadership team and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the creative arena of fashion and youth culture. We have relentlessly searched for a profile with the right skillset to lead our growing brand and creative needs.” She adds: “The new position of Chief Brand Officer will create even more synergy between our brand activities on a global scale and also localization understand and advance in different communities. I am delighted to be able to entrust Priya with this new role.”
