Gang rape | Freedom with charges for the British accused of sexual assault of the ‘pack’ of Magaluf

The young British tourist who was allegedly the victim of a group rape in a hotel room in Magaluf at dawn on Friday explained to the Civil Guard that she did not remember anything of what happened that night, until she woke up naked in the room of the three suspects. The young woman indicated that she could have given her some substance that left her unconscious in order to sexually assault her. The three alleged attackers, also British tourists in their twenties, were detained by the Civil Guard at Son Sant Joan airport when they were about to board a plane back to Manchester. Yesterday all three were released with charges.

The events occurred during the early hours of Friday. The young tourist, in her early twenties, had gone out to party in Magaluf, where he met some compatriots his age. From there, the young I didn’t remember anything until the next morningwhen she woke up, naked from the waist down and with signs of having been raped, in the youth room, in a tourist complex in the area.

The young woman asked for help and the Civil Guard was alerted, who moved members of the special team against sexual assaults launched two years ago in the summer months in Calvià. The agents accompanied the victim to Son Espases, where she was examined by a doctor.

Meanwhile, investigators identified the alleged attackers, three young British men who they had just left the hotel in the direction of the airport, since they planned to return to their country that same morning.

After alerting the airport, Civil Guard officers located and arrested the three suspects as they were preparing to board a flight back to Manchester. They were three Britons barely twenty years old. Yesterday morning they went to court and late in the afternoon they were released with charges. The Civil Guard continues with the investigations to determine his involvement in the attack.
