Gamerlegion wins first title in the LoL Prime League

Gamerlegion is the new champion of the German-speaking League of Legends league Prime League.

In a hard-fought final, Gamerlegion newcomer Eintracht Spandau was superior and secured the first title in the history of the organization.

“I’m really happy. I’ve been playing for Gamerlegion for so long and now we finally won,” said Gamerlegion’s Benjamin “visdom” Ruberg Larsen. “After the last best of five, it feels really good to win against Spandau.”

The last meeting in the playoffs was a clear affair: Eintracht defeated Gamerlegion 3-0. Spandau went into the final, which was held in the studio for the first time this season, as the favorite.

Gamerlegion with the better start

However, Gamerlegion was not impressed by this in the first game of the final series and started with a dominant victory. The second game was hard-fought: Gamerlegion already knocked on the opposing base, but Spandauer defended it doggedly. The next ten minutes were back and forth, but in the end Gamerlegion closed the match point.

The decisive game was also more than worthy of the final: After a better start by Gamerlegion, Spandau fought back with several good team fights. Countless exchanges of blows followed, which lasted more than 45 minutes.

However, Gamerlegion remained stubborn and secured the championship title with a 3-0 win. The Berliners represent the Prime League as the best team in the European tournament European Masters.
