With Gamerlegion, the second first division team also holds the class in the relegation of the League of Legends League Prime League. In the decisive series, the team defeated Austrian Force 3-1.
“It would have been a massive disappointment to be relegated with Gamerlegion after being part of the league for so long,” said support Benjamin Ruberg “Visdom” Larsen in an interview after the game. “It was a disappointing year for us. Every player had higher expectations.”
As former champions and EMEA Masters participants, Gamerlegion somewhat surprisingly faced relegation. In the relegation tournament, the team only narrowly beat DKB Diamonds and missed their first chance to stay in the league against NNO Prime.
Things went better against Austrian Force. Gamerlegion only had to give up the second game and otherwise showed a confident series. Both second division teams therefore missed the chance of promotion.
