The actor presents himself with a completely new look in the Netflix series.
After Jack Gleeson embodied one of the most hated characters in the series world on “Game of Thrones”, he is now playing a completely different part in the fourth season of the Netflix series “Sex Education” and is hardly recognizable.
As Joffrey Baratheon, the actor was seen as the domineering overlord tyrant in the fantasy epic “Game of Thrones” from 2011 to 2014. The role would ultimately make the Irishman world famous. However, since he died in the fourth season, Gleeson has almost completely disappeared from the world of acting (apart from small roles in “Rebecca’s Boyfriend” and “Out of Her Mind”). Instead of taking on major film or series roles, he studied theology and philosophy, did not attend any public events and does not use social media for himself.
But now he is back in the series game and is part of the fourth season of the Netflix series “Sex Education”. Here he can be seen as Dodgy Mo in a completely new look. He is the best friend and drug dealer of Maeve Wiley’s brother Sean – with dark instead of blonde hair and an impressive mustache instead of a clean-shaven face.
In addition to his role in the British high school series, Jack Gleeson will also be seen together with Liam Neeson in the thriller “In the Land of Saints and Sinners” in 2023, which has already premiered at film festivals but has no concrete release date yet for Germany. In 2024 you can also see him in the new film adaptation of the children’s book classic “Five Friends”.
