Film and theater actor John Stahl passed away on March 2nd at the age of 68. He is best known for his role as Rickard Karstarks in Game of Thrones.
But the Scot was not only involved in the second and third seasons of “Game of Thrones”. He also played the character Tom “Inverdarroch” Kerr in the British soap opera – produced for Scottish television – High Road for almost two decades from 1982 to 2003, and has appeared in other British series such as Doctors and Being Human. .
He has appeared on stage in various productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theater in London and Scotland. In a post on Twitter, the National Theater of Scotland, with whom Stahl worked on the productions of Mary Stuart and The James Plays, expressed their sadness: “We are deeply saddened by the news of John Stahl’s death.” she: “His death is a great loss for the industry, he will be sorely missed.”

Stahl’s agent mourned the artist in a statement as a “Actors of remarkable ability and faithful to Scottish theatre”.
Stahl was born in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire, Scotland and died on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. The cause of death has not yet been announced.
