After the atmospheric win against Kaiserslautern, Düsseldorf travels to the previously dismal bottom team Braunschweig in an extremely contrasting manner. The championship lead beckons.
A lavish party, like… sensational 4:3 against Kaiserslautern in front of a sold-out home crowd, expected Fortuna Dusseldorf on Friday (October 27th, 2023) in Braunschweig probably not. It’s something of a contrast to the top game in Düsseldorf last matchday.
Düsseldorf could take over the top spot for the time being
Nevertheless, the game is of great relevance for both clubs. Düsseldorf could make another statement with a win and even be at the top for at least one night 2nd league take over. Fortuna would establish itself in the circle of promotion candidates – and Braunschweig would be followed by two more opponents from the lower table regions: Wehen Wiesbaden and Fürth.
But caution is advised for the Rhinelanders: Bottom team Braunschweig changed their coach and it is difficult to predict whether this will release new forces. The Fortunes had a bad experience playing against the bottom of the table two weeks ago. It was called Osnabrück at the time and managed a draw on the Rhine at the last second. “You have to be humble. Braunschweig can do something too.
