Game against Bayern Munich – next head injury at Arminia: Kunze “stable” after foul

Bielefeld (dpa) – After a hard use of the arm by Bayern Munich’s Tanguy Nianzou in a header duel, Arminia Bielefeld’s midfielder Fabian Kunze is doing a little better.

“The most important thing: Fabi is stable,” said Bielefeld coach Frank Kramer after the game (0:3). “He’s in the hospital right now. The CT is running now. We’re all hoping and keeping our fingers crossed that he’ll recover quickly, that he’ll be back quickly and that nothing more serious will come of it.” On the foul, he said: “If we’re honest, it’s a red card for me.” Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann saw it similarly.

The 23-year-old Kunze was unable to continue playing in injury time in the first half of the Bundesliga game when the score was 0-1 and was carried off the field on a stretcher. Kunze had previously been treated on the field for a long time. Nianzou, who hit Kunze in the head and neck area, was booked for the foul.

In the past few weeks, striker Fabian Klos and defender Cédric Brunner had suffered head injuries at Bielefeld.
