The Gamaleya Center allowed the creation of a vaccine based on “delta” and “omicron”
On January 16, Denis Logunov, deputy head of the Gamaleya Center, said that their specialists are considering the possibility of developing a coronavirus vaccine based on several strains, such as Delta and Omicron.
“It is being considered and discussed how to make a polyvalent “Sputnik”, where there will be both “delta” and “omicron”, in order to cover the base layers – “wuhan” or “delta”, from where a new sprout of a new strain that causes alertness can come from, – he said. According to him, “omicron” will “close these sprouts” as it also evolves.
