Galeria and CFO Christian Sailer appear to be going their separate ways.

The Galeria shareholders are said to have removed Sailer from his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), various media such as Manager Magazin report based on a statement from the Düsseldorf department store group. Galeria did not give reasons for the departure.

Sailer came to Galeria in October 2024 from the conglomerate Weltbild D2C Group, where he was CEO. He took over the position for Guido Mager, whose contract expired at the end of the same year. Sailer is now succeeded on an interim basis by Norman Krotten.

Krotten comes from the department store group’s own ranks. According to his own information on the career network Linkedin, he has worked for the company in various positions for more than ten years, most recently as managing director of the food and catering sector.

Galeria has not yet responded to a request from FashionUnited.
