Damiano David: the beginnings

Roman, born in 1999, son of two flight attendants, he played basketball as a boy, a passion he later put aside for music, discovered at a very young age.

A passion shared with a friend Victoria De Angelis, with whom he founded Måneskin (Danish word meaning “moonlight”). The group is officially today on break, to give its members the opportunity to explore other paths, but an effective return to life as before seems rather unlikely at the moment. «What we have seen so far represents the last ten years of my life, I lived a beautiful fairy tale together with three other boys who I love very much. We have experienced incredible success and have played all over the world. Then unfortunately we grow, we change, and priorities become different: something inside me is broken. And I want to specify this time too, nothing happened with the other members of the band. Something happened inside me and, for this same reason, I had to resolve it myself”, wrote David on Instagram after the last concert with the group, giving rise to a different phase.

Understandable, considering the young age of the band members and the arrival of a success that perhaps not even they imagined. The changes on the personal side are also important. In 2023, the end of the love story between Damiano David and Giorgia Solerihis long-time girlfriend with whom he had been a couple since 2017, and the subsequent meeting with the American actress Dove Cameron, to whom he has been linked since 2024 and who will be his wife in a few months. The announcement of the wedding arrived last January 3, on social media. A confirmation, in reality, because since October there have been rumors of a suspicious ring on the actress’s ring finger. In reality, there are two rings: Damiano David and Dove Cameron exchanged them with each other. Inside, an engraved phrase: «The best part of being alive»to seal the promise.

A new life in Los Angeles

The couple lives permanently in Los Angeles, despite frequent and inevitable travel for work-related reasons. A new life has begun for the rocker, in which today he seems to be very comfortable. The future is yet to be written.
