Galatasaray’s 100th aid truck is on its way! GS sports news – Last minute Galatasaray news

The aid campaign organized by Galatasaray Club in order to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster that shook our country on February 6 continues. In this context, the 100th aid truck was sent off from the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Nef Stadium to the disaster area.
Club President Dursun Aydın Özbek, while saying goodbye to the 100th TIR, stated that the aid to the region continues at full speed and said;

“WE ALL FEEL THE PAIN TOGETHER”

The earthquake on February 6 severely affected nearly 20 percent of our country. Our 15 million brothers and sisters were greatly affected by the earthquake. There are those who lost their homes, their jobs and their lives. We all felt this pain together, as a country. From the first day, we sent our aid to the region in the fastest way possible. Today, our 100th TIR is on its way. This year is also the 100th anniversary of the Republic. As Galatasaray Sports Club, we had prepared events to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic with the most enthusiasm, but it was not very possible. On the other hand, our 100th TIR is leaving today. The motto ‘100 of the Republic, Galatasaray’ is just right.”

“WE WILL BUILD 250 PERMANENT HOUSES, 10 SCHOOLS”

“We are settled in the region. We have warehouses. Every aid sent reaches its destination. I think this is very important. Our aid to the region does not end with the 100th truck. Our places there for 500 containers have been allocated, our infrastructure has been built. We have started shipping containers. We are shipping mobile toilets. During my visit to the region, Mr. Minister I had a meeting with Murat Kurum. It is necessary to prevent migration in the region. People migrate to other provinces because they are uneasy. There is a decrease in the workforce. I visited the industries in Hatay, Maraş, Antep. The industry has stopped. Because people have left there. It is necessary to build permanent residences. “People can stay in containers for a certain period of time, but there is a need for permanent housing so that they do not leave the area. I said to him that we, as Galatasaray, want to support this. We agreed with the minister to build approximately 250 permanent residences. We are doing his work. For this, we have all Support from Galatasaray fans and everyone who feels this pain in their heart. We look forward to your addition and assistance.”
“The Minister of National Education called me last week. The minister said that one of the most important activities in the region is that education should not stop. They wanted Galatasaray to contribute to these studies. I told the minister that 10 light steel schools will be built by Galatasaray.”

“THIS IS OUR MISSION”

“As Galatasaray, we want to do our best as a non-governmental organization to heal these wounds at the highest level. We want to build permanent residences and schools as the Galatasaray community. Let them support our campaigns. We are at the forefront in terms of activities. This is not our opinion. These are the things that people in the public share. This makes us proud. As Turkish people, we accept this as our duty.”
“The 100th anniversary of the Republic is very important. At the same time, we will do our best to heal the wounds caused by the earthquake. This is the wound of all of us. We will celebrate this year with enthusiasm for the 100th anniversary of the Republic. We should not lose our excitement on the first day. The situation in the region is very bad. “It is an event that will affect the whole country. We are in contact with AFAD for these aids. All Galatasaray fans should support our efforts.”
