HERE ARE HAMAMCIOĞLU’S EXPLANATIONS:
Dear Galatasaray fans,
As a part of this elite community that I feel I belong to for as long as I can remember, I am a Galatasaray member who has had the chance to take on important responsibilities at different levels of our club. In this way, I have made observations over the years and accumulated experience. I had the opportunity to see the functioning of the corporate structure, the flaws and deficiencies, the opportunities and risks closely. While Galatasaray’s might and reputation always gave me hope to have confidence in the future, I also questioned the reasons for repeated mistakes over the years.
Many mistakes have arisen as a result of lack of planning, individual calculations, innocent whims or great ambitions. It cannot be denied that we are transforming into a community whose moral capital has been eroded, where differences of opinion have reached the level of grouping, and where success and failure have lost their common denominator, especially in recent years. It is clear that unless this social climate is returned to its essence, we will only become people who pride themselves on their past.
Although it is not possible to bring back the time we lost or the resources we have wasted, the opportunity to shape the future together is in our hands. With the inspiration we get from our founding philosophy, the reason that put us in a difficult situation; We must now realize that there is a lack of a long-term strategy based on rationality, realism and altruism, and we must act. We must remember the superior features that made Galatasaray the first and only, our founding values and our timeless recipe for success. Our aim should not be to achieve success at any cost, but to reveal a vision and strategy for permanent and sustainable success.
Our club is too big to be managed with arbitrary decisions or instant reactions to current events. We have seen, learned and remembered that every success that cannot be financed or whose foundation is not well laid leads us astray. Today, we are at the point where we can never move forward without sincerity, consistency and seriousness. We are aware that we are obliged to work harder than ever, with renunciation and sacrifice.
It is not possible to enter into a long-term struggle by painting rosy pictures, making excessive promises, clinging to populist rhetoric, and discouraging those who trust us. We will most likely face greater difficulties in the coming period, so we must stay close to each other. Only in this way can we achieve the success we miss and carry our Galatasaray to the top.
With this belief, I am a candidate for the Presidency of Galatasaray Sports Club, with the contribution and effort of my teammates, who have never left me alone, and with the favor and support of you, our esteemed Galatasaray fans. We will move forward with CONFIDENCE IN THE FUTURE in Galatasaray to make the people whose hearts beat in YELLOW-RED proud on this road I set out with the Galatasaray fans I believe in.
With these feelings and thoughts, I offer my respect and love to all of you.
