10) What would you like to say about Beşiktaş fans who compose for you, show their love for you every time and break decibel records?
I loved the Beşiktaş sides long before I set foot in Turkey. Because I saw the messages of the supporters for the prophet, “We loved you without seeing you”. For this reason, I was following the team on social media. If you simply love what I love, it is expected that I will love you too. Since the fans love the things I like, I started to like them too. Later, the minute I came to the team, I felt that everything was happening as it should. The fans will always be in my heart. When I built my first team from scratch, the first thing that came to my mind was the team’s colors. In San Diego, colors were black and white. Because I loved the black and white colors of Beşiktaş and Newcastle. For this reason, the team’s colors were also black and white. I am currently experiencing my second team management experience and I am thinking about how the word eagle is said here and whether it fits the team. Because if it sounds good and fits, I’d like to see something like this somewhere on the team. All this because of my love for Beşiktaş, Beşiktaş fans and the unrequited love shown to me while I was there. Also, a lot of people are constantly reading the song “Demba Ba” to me. It’s always a pleasure to see people show their love in this way. Normally this song was just made for the Football concept. But now I see it being played in restaurants, at weddings. I will always be grateful for these trusts. The Turkish nation welcomed me and my family very well and loved them unconditionally. I know that this love continues today. I am very grateful for all this.
