Gakpo points the way to the Orange with a beautiful goal in a duel with Poland

The Dutch national team has taken a big step towards the final round of the Nations League. The team of national coach Louis van Gaal defeated Poland (0-2) and thus strengthened the first place in the group. PSV player Cody Gakpo, who started as an attacking midfielder, put the Dutch national team at 0-1 after fifteen minutes.

A great attack was preceded by, among others, the former PSV players Memphis Depay and Steven Bergwijn.

In the second half, the same Bergwijn scored the second goal in the 60th minute, after good preparatory work by Vincent Janssen. The striker from Heesch came in for Depay, who dropped out with an injury. Playing against Belgium on Sunday will probably not be possible for Depay.

If Van Gaal’s team secures a group win at the expense of the Belgians, the final tournament (along with the other three group winners from the A division) will be in the Netherlands next June.
