The Saarlander lost in the round of the top 32 to the Australian Damon Heta with 3:6. Local hero Liam Maendl-Lawrance and Dragutin Horvat had already been eliminated on Easter Sunday.
Martin Schindler still has a chance of reaching the round of 16 against Welshman Jim Williams late on Sunday evening.
The German Darts Grand Prix is the fourth of a total of 13 tournaments on the PDC European Tour. The final will take place on Monday evening.
