G2’s women’s team wins third straight Game Changers title

G2 Esports Gozen has won the women’s series of the European Valorant Champions Tour for the third year in a row. The final was against Team Guild X, against whom the women of G2 had already won in the last two final series of the Game Changers tournaments.

“It feels so good. That was our goal from the start: to be the most dominant team and to win every tournament,” said G2’s Michaela “Mimi” Lintrup in an interview after the game. “And I think we’ve now shown that we can do that!”

The European mix team of the Berlin e-sports organization prevailed against Guild X with 3:0 (13:8, 15:13, 13:10). The opponents around the German player Vivian “roxi” Schilling had to settle for second place again, but at least forced the favorites into overtime on the second card Ascent.

Meanwhile, G2 managed a perfect run through the tournament. Without giving up a single map, the team ran into the finals and once again underlined their role as favorites in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. With the tournament victory, the G2 women’s team also secured important points for the as yet unspecified global event of the Game Changers series.
