G2 Esports defeats Fnatic in the classic LoL league LEC

With G2 Esports versus Fnatic, the biggest rivalry in the European League of Legends league LEC has entered the next round. Both teams have changed a lot – in the end it pays off, especially for G2.

“We managed to come through and showed a very strong performance throughout the game,” said G2’s Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik of Germany in the post-match interview. “I’m very happy with the team’s progress, especially against a team like Fnatic.”

With a new line-up around ex-G2 player Martin “Wunder” Hansen, Fnatic got off to a better start in the game. But G2 punished every misstep of the opponent – especially Broken Blade showed a brilliant performance. After 30 minutes the game turned in favor of G2. From then on, Fnatic couldn’t make a good play and G2 didn’t let go of the win. Thanks to a 2-0 weekend, the team draws level with Fnatic in second place in the table.

Rogue breaks Vitality’s winning streak

After three wins in a row, Vitality’s super team had to play against a previously undefeated Rogue. Vitality held back well at the beginning, but Rogue finished the game in a controlled manner. With this, the team made the best LEC start in the history of the organization and remains the sole leader of the table.

After ex-G2 support Michael “Mikyx” Mehle was left without a team at the start of the season, he has been part of Excel Esports since this weekend. With an important win against Astralis, bottom of the table, the team is currently in midfield.
