Fynch-Hatton appoints new brand boss for womenswear

The clothing supplier Fynch-Hatton Textil-Handelsgesellschaft mbH, based in Mönchengladbach, has appointed Susanne Völkel to the position of ‘Director Product Woman’.

As brand manager, Völkel is taking on overall responsibility for the creative and strategic development of womenswear, Fynch-Hatton announced on Thursday. She will take up this position on September 1st.

The new brand manager comes from within the company

So far, Völkel has been Head of Product Management in Mönchengladbach. She assumed this role last October when she joined Fynch-Hatton from Best Sales & Services GmbH, where she was Head of Product Management for the Better Rich brand. Before that, as a product manager, she was responsible for building the New in Town brand. She began her career in 2002 at the Düsseldorf fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg, where she worked as a product manager for various private labels until 2016.

“We are very pleased to have found someone in Susanne Völkel who, with her many years of experience and in-depth expertise in all relevant areas, will continue to develop the success story of Fynch-Hatton Women,” said Managing Director Mathias Eckert. “Her feminine signature goes perfectly with the uncomplicated urban elegance of our womenswear.”

Fynch-Hatton has launched its 2020 womenswear line, which is primarily at the core of the company’s growth strategy and realignment, according to the announcement. This currently accounts for twelve percent of sales.
