Future plans of St. Godelieve Abbey are taking shape
Six broad lines have now been drawn from more than 5000 suggestions from the general public that will determine the future of the religious site with garden and abbey. It is the first time that Jan in the cap has a say in the repurposing of an empty abbey. All this under the watchful eye of Tourism Flanders, which also involves well-known Flemish people.
The works for the metamorphosis of the abbey should start at the end of 2023.
