For a long time it seemed unclear whether Mo Salah will be preserved for Liverpool FC. But now it is obviously almost certain that the goal scorer will play next season.

Mo Salah has been playing at the Liverpool in the Premier League since 2017, was once with the “Reds” Champions League winner in 2019, once English champions and cup winners and secured the goal scorer cannon three times. In 394 competitive games for the team from the new coach Arne Slot, the Egyptian scored 243 goals and prepared 111 goals. In the current season, the 32-year-old is back in impressive form, scored 32 times in 45 missions, gave 22 templates.

And yet for a long time it seemed unclear whether Salah actually continues at Liverpool FC. Again and again the attacker, whose contract expires after the current season, was associated with a move to Saudi Arabia. Salah himself, too, was only reserved for a long time when it comes to staying at the traditional club, but was repeatedly frustrated by the apparently long negotiations. However, Slot made it clear that he absolutely wanted to hold his scorer.

And now slot and all of Liverpool could breathe a sigh of relief. Because the “Times” reported on Wednesday evening: Liverpool and Salah were short of an extension of the contract. Accordingly, players and clubs are close to an agreement. Trainer Slot firmly counts with Salah as his team’s cornerstone for the coming season.

This would have reached one end for a long time. And more importantly: The personnel planning of the “Reds” for the coming season is progressing. Because even with defense chief Virgil van Dijk, whose contract also expires in the summer, Liverpool is said to have achieved a breakthrough in the negotiations.

The contract with full-back Alexander-Arnold also ends in summer, but the signs should be at goodbye for the English international, Real Madrid is considered a possible new club. The aim of Liverpool management is to keep two of the three stars. That now seems to work.
