Futsal: RKAV Volendam receives a settlement proposal after a brawl

The settlement proposal from the KNVB has been received by the futsal players of RKAV Volendam after the brawl in the match against ZVV Eindhoven on February 18. The Volendammers receive a reprimand. ZVV Eindhoven is guilty of stopping the game and will be deducted two points.

RKAV Volendam receives that reprimand because the club would not have done enough to maintain order and prevent supporters from entering the field.

With a 0-0 score, the game was stopped in the fifteenth minute and a brawl ensued. Part of the audience also came onto the field. The referees decided to suspend the match.

Suspensions

Furthermore, Volendam player Robin Kwakman is suspended for three matches. ZVV Eindhoven player Kamal el Hassani is suspended for three months. He would have hit someone in a duel for the ball.

In defence

RKAV Volendam and ZVV Eindhoven let it be known that the proposal has just been received and they still have to discuss whether to accept the suspension. A defense must be lodged within three working days.

It is not yet known when the match will be made up.
