The futsal players of Hovocubo will play the first final match against FC Eindhoven tomorrow at 8 p.m. Last week, the semi-final game against Tigers Roermond was halted. That match was to be played on Wednesday, but the Limburgers decided against this. “We do not agree with the entire course of events,” said Tigers chairman Chaib Ramdani.
The KNVB announces that Tigers Roermond did not show up to play the remainder of the semi-final. As a result, the board declared amateur football Hovocubo the winner. This decision is independent of any measures taken by a disciplinary body for the final cessation of the game between Tigers Roermond and Hovocubo.
In Limburg they are not at all pleased with the decision. “We can lose our three points, we can lose the semi-final, but never our honor and pride,” said Ramdani. Tigers wants to go into detail later at a press conference about the stopped game and what happened afterwards.
Hovocubo will play against FC Eindhoven in the final. The Brabanders qualified for this earlier by beating Lebo from Amsterdam.
