Fouad Ahidar (Vooruit) decided on Friday not to take the chair again after a debate in the Council of the Flemish Community Commission about his controversial statements about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. N-VA, CD&V and Vlaams Belang had announced that they would leave the room if he did so.
