Furlani: “Milan Stadium in San Donato ambitious project”

The CEO Rossonero from Dubai: “The current facility, with its age and limitations, does not offer an optimal experience to our fans. With RedBird for Milan, a global growth phase, with a strong focus on the Middle Eastern and US markets”

Milan and the Middle East. In this period the combination is one of those that makes the fans stand up, and led Gerry Cardinale to clarify his ideas and his project on the management of the Devil. But the fact that Milan frequent those areas – and certainly not in recent weeks – is a fact. These days, for example, the CEO Furlani spoke at “Investopia 2024”, a forum on the sports business in the Middle East which is being held in Dubai, in a commercial area that the Rossoneri club considers strategic for its international growth (in Dubai, in fact, it was recently opened an office). And obviously he also talked about Milan

investments

“My involvement with Milan began in 2017 during a critical period characterized by a financial transition and a transfer of ownership from the Berlusconi family to a Chinese investor – said the Rossoneri CEO -. Now, under the guidance of RedBird, we are starting an exciting phase of global growth, with a strong focus also on the Middle Eastern market. We are here to talk about investments in football and one of the key investors is our partner Emirates. This is the 15th year we have had on our Emirates shirt, a wonderful partner. Opening an office in Dubai is further testament to our commitment to the region for further collaborations and growth. Dubai and the surrounding region are of great importance to us and we foresee continued expansion and growth opportunities with Emirates, consolidating our presence in this market.”

sustainability

So, planning: “In terms of corporate strategy, we operate on three fundamental pillars: football, which is the reason why we exist; financial sustainability: we need to be sustainable from a financial point of view; and social responsibility: we are not just a football club, but a social and cultural institution. Being sustainable is crucial to attract capital.” Last, but certainly not least, a consideration on the stadium: “Milan’s path involves the continuation of international expansion in the Middle East and America, together with the ambitious project of a new stadium in San Donato. Our current stadium, with the its age and limitations, no longer meets the standards necessary to provide an optimal experience for our fans.” Milan’s position at the moment is clear: the club has listened to mayor Sala, but to date the priority remains San Donato.
