Rainbow Six teams G2 Esports and Wylde started the first day of Europe League Stage 2 with victories.
MNM Gaming and Team Secret also secured the first three points after four months of off-season without official league games. The day started with MNM Gaming beating Heroic 7-4 on Skyscraper. The same result on the same map should be repeated when Secret beats league newcomer Into The Breach.
On the other hand, the top game of the day between G2 Esports and the Gamers8 champions from Team BDS on Oregon was closer and more varied.
At first it looked like a clear victory for the Berliners, but BDS was able to reduce a 6-1 deficit to a 6-5 in the second half before the world champions of G2 won the last round before extra time to end the game 7 :5 decided for themselves.
The last match of the first day of stage 2 should also be the shortest of the evening. In Wylde’s clear 7-0 win over Koi, co-owner Usain Bolt’s team gave the winners of the Berlin Major at Chalet no chance.
