Caroline van der Plas is absolutely not happy about it: just before the House of Representatives elections, the divorce dispute with her first husband Dennis Grippeling is suddenly widely reported. Dennis was with PVV
Who is this angry Mr. Dennis? He also appears to have been politically active, for the PVV. It was standing a few years ago on the candidate list for the department in Maastricht. “I came from the Randstad at the time and had quite a bit of trouble there, especially from Moroccan boys. Theft, burglaries, intimidation, that kind of thing,” he says Story.
And that is exactly what Geert Wilders wants to tackle head on. “When I arrived in Maastricht, I thought: I’m going to join the PVV. I wanted to prevent things from becoming the same here as in the Randstad. But I soon noticed that the PVV’s agenda in Maastricht was different from national policy. So I am no longer active for the party.”
Have a nice life
Fortunately, it is not as bad in Maastricht as in the Randstad, Dennis continues. “Life is pleasant in the south of the country. I am surprised how it is possible that PVV leader Geert Wilders has been cut off from the outside world for so long, but has such a good sense of what is going wrong in society. He is very well informed!”
What does Dennis do for work these days? “I work as a process operator at Mora, Cora van Mora’s. Frikandellen, croquettes, that’s what we make. I have to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that our products are hygienically delivered to stores and to people’s homes.”
‘Bossy woman’
Dennis states that Caroline doesn’t allow him to see his children, but aren’t they already grown up? “Do you ever see her in the House of Representatives? How does she fire at ministers there? When they say ‘triple B’ instead of BBB, she goes into a huge rant. Then she is aggrieved and bossy. Those boys know their mother inside and out.”
He concludes: “They are looking forward to going against her. They do not. She has only one interest and that is her own interest. She also doesn’t care about farmers and citizens, she never has. There is only one person she considers important: herself.”
