Telstar has a full infirmary and midfielder Roscello Vlijter will not be present against MVV on Friday. “He went back to Suriname for Christmas. He was supposed to fly back on December 30, but he turned out to be positive. Now he will return next night. He will therefore not be part of the match selection,” said Telstar trainer Andries Jonker.
infirmary
In addition to Roscello Vlijter, Telstar’s infirmary is also full: Anwar Bensabouh, Redouan Taha, Yaël Liesdek, Niels van Wetten and Delvechio Blackson are not present against MVV. It also remains to be seen what the results of the corona tests are. “Now players get opportunities that they otherwise would not have had or would have had much later”, Jonker sees the positive side of the full infirmary.

Condolence
Telstar did not train until 4.45 pm tonight due to the condolence of Telstar club doctor Marcel Reinders. “A highly regarded doctor. We have two club doctors and he was the intended successor. He did not stand out, but still had a strong bond with some players,” said Jonker.
Despite corona, just play
The first matches in professional football have now been canceled due to too many corona cases at the clubs. There is a chance that a skewed competition will arise, but Jonker believes that everything must be done to play. “If you think you have a social significance, you should play wherever possible. If differences arise then so be it”, Jonker says.
Stomach ache
In Maastricht, Telstar lost 3-0 to MVV in August. “I still have a bit of stomach pain from that. We completely got into the knife. I had a terribly bad feeling about that. We have something to be right. We want to do better than the first half of the season,” says junker.
The Telstar – MVV match can be followed live on NH Radio. The match will start at 8pm, but our sports broadcast will start a little later due to the cabinet press conference on Friday evening.
