Fuel price protest – truck convoys move in the direction of the Berliner Ring

During a protest against increased energy prices, several truck convoys have been on their way to the northern Berlin Ring since Wednesday morning.

As reported by the North Police Department in Neuruppin, a group of 15 to 20 vehicles was traveling from the Falkensee connection in the direction of the Havelland triangle.

Other convoys approached the autobahn from the A24 from Hamburg and from the federal highway 96. There were initially no actions in Berlin itself.

According to a report by the “Tagesschau” and the WDR, truck drivers want to block the ring road from 7 a.m. to protest against the record prices for petrol and diesel.

The drivers also want to block motorways in NRW – and thus trigger traffic chaos.
