Pproduced by Netflix and starring the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger (76 years old), Fubar is the first TV series in the career of Schwarzy, already available for streaming. A series much awaited by the fans, but which unfortunately is little more than a nostalgic product that pays homage to the clichés of 90s cinema. Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) it’s a retired CIA agent. The man has very clear ideas about his future: spend more time with your daughter Emma (Monica Barbara), enjoy his boat and reunite with his ex-wife. Although 15 years have now passed since the divorce and the woman has rebuilt her life.

Once in place, Luke he discovers that Agent Panda is really his daughter Emma and, after a daring rescue, father and daughter they start working together. Between one mission and another, the two will have the opportunity to make up for lost time.

A series that leaves a bad taste in the mouth
After Sylvester Stallone and his Tulsa Kingeven the beloved Schwarzy finally made his television serial debut. The model, quite stated, is True Liesaction comedy masterpiece that James Cameron shot in 1994 together with Arnold and a super sexy Jamie Lee Curtis. In the movie, Arnold was a secret agent unbeknownst to his wifeconvinced instead that the consort was an ordinary computer representative.
Fubar – in military jargon acronym of “Fucked Up Beyond All Repair”, that is when things are in such bad shape that they have exceeded the possibility of a repair – he therefore enjoys recover that 90s mood. A mix that though does not get the desired effects. Net of sympathy, good old Arnold, now 75 years old, he is no longer the Terminator he once was and, in the most adrenalinic scenes, he just shoots and throws a few punches. It goes the comedy part is a bit better where the actor can again show off his talent who, in his career, has produced hilarious films such as Twins And A cop in elementary school.
Unfortunately, however, the final result – also penalized by the perhaps excessive duration of the 8 episodes – disappoints. Between stereotypes abound and a general confusion it makes some points that are difficult to understand. A real pity, also given the “celebratory” intent of the series, but something is saved anyway. First of all a surprising and very good one Monica Barbara.
