Coach Joe Enochs’ team defeated newly promoted SpVgg Bayreuth 2-0 (2-0) and recovered from the 5-0 defeat at SV Elversberg a week earlier.
Ronny König (10th) and Dominic Baumann (25th) set the course for victory early on in front of 5000 spectators. Bayreuth’s Dennis Lippert saw the red card after the break (65′).
While Zwickau climbed into the middle of the table with six points after five games, Bayreuth is in 18th place with only three points.
