Telstar lost 0-1 to De Graafschap tonight. Mike Snoei’s team was entitled to a point, but ended up empty-handed for the third time this season. “This doesn’t feel good. There would have been more, but then you have to score that goal.”
“We played in the half of De Graafschap throughout the second half. We had a lot of ball possession, but in the end that liberating goal did not come. That is really a shame,” said Snoei after the defeat. “We should have taken at least a point here against De Graafschap.”
Other formation
Telstar started the game somewhat surprisingly in a 4-3-3 formation. Usually Snoei chooses five defenders on the back. “That was possible because they only have one striker in the front. We just wanted to play a bit more offensively and that was therefore possible. Unfortunately, it did not provide any great opportunities,” said Snoei about his tactical battle plan.

Reward
Telstar had to concede the only goal of the game in the 50th minute. Giovanni Korte scored the winning goal. Defender Thomas Oude Kotte looked at the goal from close by with sorrow. “They came through on the right. It was a good pass and a good goal. It was one of the few attacks of theirs that went well. They do reward themselves. We should have done that too,” said Oude Kotte.
