Frosinone, Di Francesco’s goal to stay in Serie A

He needs it. He has suffered a lot, too much, being out in these two years (“In the last three years I’ve only coached 30 games”, he said recently). But his last few seasons have been very troubled, unlike what happened at the helm of Sassuolo, his masterpiece, and of Rome where in 2018 he reached the historic Champions League semi-final against Liverpool, eliminating Barça. From there begins a descending parable that leads him to his exemption in the capital (March 2019), where he was also a great player, and to a series of slips.
