A motorcycle and a car collided head-on on the Noordzuidroute in De Kwakel tonight. All traffic has been temporarily diverted while police investigate the cause of the accident, which left the motorcyclist injured.
The report came in to the emergency services around 9:19 p.m. When they arrived they found the motorcyclist on the side of the road. “He was injured,” a police spokesman told NH. “He’s in pain, but he’s approachable.”
Traffic diverted
The Mobile Medical Team (MMT), which takes action in the event of major accidents, could therefore be cancelled. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by an ambulance. The condition of the driver is still unknown.
The Traffic Team that analyzes accidents is now on site, which is why traffic is temporarily diverted. It is not yet known when the road will be reopened.
