The newly created Wacken Wednesday begins on Wednesday (August 3rd) with the opening of the Louder Stage.
On Thursday it starts with the Wacken Open Air. Acts like Thundermother, Powerwolf or Rose Tattoo will be there, who will definitely deliver great concert moments until Saturday, before the headliners start.

Around 75,000 metal fans are expected in Wacken this year. Co-founder Thomas Jensen: “Everyone involved, whether fans, bands or crews, have had a long dry spell. So this year we are all the more excited to be able to return to the Holy Ground and celebrate the party of the year.”
Headliners include Slipknot, Judas Priest, In Extremo, New Model Army, Rose Tattoo, Lacuna Coil, Gwar, As I Lay Dying and Lordi. Limp Bizkit are unable to perform due to Fred Durst (vocals) health issues. Till Lindemann is not there either.
