Good news, the weekend is almost starting! With this autumnal weather you may feel like sitting on the couch with a blanket, but that will probably change after reading this list. There is so much fun to do in the city, so go, pull out that nice sweater from the closet and go out!

Halloween Fair

The Halloween Fair is back in Zoetermeer! From Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 October, the Silverdome event area will be full of attractions and candy stalls. Children can come and get spooked on Wednesday, October 25, during a Kids Scary Afternoon, during which actors in costume will walk around the grounds. There is one for the (adult) daredevils on both Saturdays creepy evening. Scary figures walking around; they do everything they can to scare you. The fair is open every day from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Thriller Festival

The Thriller Festival starts on Sunday October 22. The fifteenth edition of the event opens with a book festival in the Stadstheater. Between 12:00 and 17:00 there are many stalls full of thrillers and other exciting books in the large foyer. In addition to the market, quick sketch artist Johan van Dam will also be present to draw caricatures of visitors and the winners of MAX Gold, Silver, Bronze and Junior Bat 2023 will be announced by Jan Slagter.

Halloween: Play farm Het Buitenbeest

Get into the Halloween mood this weekend at Speelboerderij Het Buitenbeest. On Friday and Saturday evenings the farm is transformed into the domain of witches, ghosts, bats and other creepy figures. The event lasts from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM and you can register via a form that you can pick up in advance at the farm.

The costs are 3 euros per person and registration is mandatory.

Lip balm making workshop

Zoetermeer resident Susanne Ramselaar is a beekeeper and will give a lip balm making workshop on Sunday, October 22. You will learn more about the honey bee, their beeswax and honey. The workshop lasts from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and costs 35 euros per person.

Laundry party

‘Small loads, big loads. Put them in you, washing machine: Trafassi will definitely sing this hit this Saturday at Le Club BBQ. There it is time for the Laundry Party, a Caribbean party with music and good food. From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM you can enjoy satay, hamburgers, spare ribs, chicken, round steak and salmon. DJ Eric Santana and DJ Dino play records. Expect bachata, salsa, merengue, kizomba, bubblin, dancehall, reggaeton and Surinamese music.

Tickets costs 40.79 euros, which includes food.
